Wait Until 8th is a national nonprofit initiative fueled by parents who are concerned about the many negative effects of early exposure to social media, unlimited internet access, and smartphone/screen addiction. 

The Wait Until 8th pledge commits to: (1) Delay smartphones until at least the end of 8th grade and (2) Delay social media until at least age 16. Once ten families from a grade at a school sign, the pledge becomes active.
